About Music for Young Children
At MYC, we provide a firm foundation in music for each child to build upon as they move through our award-winning, internationally acclaimed curriculum. Since 1980, MYC has helped more than 550,000 students experience group lessons filled with song, composition, rhythm, and theory.
The reason MYC has been successful is the quality of our teachers. At MYC our teachers receive 3 levels of training over a 3 year period. We do this to ensure the quality of the program that your child receives. Each MYC teacher has at minimum a grade 8 in piano and a grade 2 in theory. Our teachers come from various backgrounds in music, science, medical, business and many other professional backgrounds.
